Milwaukee Officer Arrested For Suspected Drunk Driving
A second Milwaukee police officer has been arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated.
Nine-year veteran Officer Lynn Vandenbush, 41, was off duty at the time of her arrest. Not many details have been released, but the Journal Sentinel reported Vandenbush was arrested while on her way home from a Christmas party last Thursday.
Vandenbush is the second Milwaukee officer to face drunk driving charges in the past few weeks. On November 30, Detective Randall Chicks was arrested for suspected drunken driving after crashing his car on the highway.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, 238 people were killed and 3,793 people were injured in alcohol-related crashes in 2009.
