Two Dead, Seven Injured In Fond du Lac Accident
Two people were killed and seven were injured early Saturday morning in Fond du Lac County when the vehicle containing all nine people left the roadway as the driver lost control.
According to officials, the crash was reported just after 3:30 a.m. on Beechnut Road, just off of Highway 67 in Ashford.
The vehicle had been heading northbound on Beachtree Road when the driver lost control of it.
Two people were pronounced dead at the scene and two flight for life helicopters, several ambulances as well as the fire department were called to respond. The seven were taken to local hospitals.
A story on fdlreporter.com said that officials said speed and failure to wear seat belts appear to be factors in the crash and resulting injuries. Officials do not believe alcohol played a roll at this time.
The crash investigation is ongoing.
