Posted by Roberta Jorgensen Puntillo | Oct 29, 2011 | 0 Comments

A one-vehicle crash killed the driver Monday afternoon.

According to reports, the pickup truck was westbound on I-94 at 39th Street about 2:15 p.m. when it hit a median wall. According to witness reports, the truck was on the wall for about 50 feet and then came to a stop after crashing into several signs.

The driver was pronounced dead on the scene and the westbound lanes of I-94 were closed down for more than three hours as officials extricated the driver's body, reconstructed the accident and cleared the crash debris.

The accident is still under investigation. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
