POLICE: MAN FACES 5TH OWI AFTER SHOWING UP DRUNK AT SON'S SCHOOL
A man who allegedly showed up to pick his 5-year-old son up from elementary school while intoxicated was charged with his fifth OWI.
According to reports, the man was arrested last Tuesday at a Wauwatosa elementary school about 3:30 p.m. Officials said an alert crossing guard reported the man after watching him drive, allegedly park in an odd angle and then stumble toward the school.
According to officials, the man’s blood alcohol content was 0.15 percent, which is nearly double the legal limit in Wisconsin. The 38-year-old man was also apparently driving with a revoked license at the time of the incident.
The child’s mother was called to pick the boy up and the father was taken to a local hospital for a blood draw.
