WOMAN LANDS PLANE AFTER HUSBAND DIES PILOTING IT

An eighty-year-old woman landed a plane after her husband died at the controls in northeastern Wisconsin Monday.

According to officials, the 80-year-old woman had not flown that type of plane and hadn't flown in 30 years when she had to take over the controls to land it. She safely landed after bouncing hard and although she was injured, she is expected to recover.

Her husband had suffered a heart attack while flying. They had been flying back from their second home in Florida. The pair reportedly flew hundreds of hours together.

She was running out of gas and another pilot flew up to help guide her to the ground safely.
